Deyanira Roberts, Cognitive behavioural therapist

Deya has been working therapeutically with children and young people for the last ten years in clinical and educational contexts. She is immensely passionate about her work, and at the root of all she does, is the drive to help others through compassion, understanding, acceptance, respect and love.

For several years, Deya has worked with children and young people with intellectual disabilities and neurodevelopmental conditions. Deya has also worked with adults to help them overcome mental health difficulties such as low mood, anxiety, OCD or specific fears or phobias.

Deya is a qualified Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist and 'Children and Young People's Improving Access to Psychological Therapies' (CYP-IAPT) Supervisor and has worked as a Lead Clinician within Mental Health Support Teams. This year, Deya is excited to collaborate with the University of Northumbria (being involved in the Senior/Educational Mental Health Practitioner course teaching and marking).

Deya is a Graduate Member of the British Psychological Society

She has an up to date enhanced certificate to work with children from HM disclosure and barring service (DBS).
